Cultural relics restorer Lila Lane finds a Terracotta Army figurine hides signs of life. Director Quinn Quillan has the same broken eyebrow as the figurine, as he is the soul of an emperor. A colleague damages the terracotta figurine, causing Quinn to get injured. The two learn of their past life bond. When Lila gets into danger during an ancient tomb excavation, Quinn protects her. Quinn loses his divine powers, becomes an ordinary person, and stays with Lila.
