The God Banished by the Empress

Kael, the scorned warden of the Helios Empire, is publicly tried and stripped of all power with Empress Veyra’s tacit approval. Everyone deems him weak, unaware he is the long-buried Old Watcher who sealed his powers years ago to atone for his sins. He leaves coldly with his pet Nyx and withdraws his restraining force. As his seal weakens, Vorlux, the star behemoth capable of destroying the empire, nears freedom. Neighboring kingdoms seize the chance to attack, plunging the empire into peril. Only then do those who betrayed him realize with terror: they exiled the only god who could save them.
