Rural girl Yvonne Lin competes on behalf of her mother to make a living, wins consecutive matches with her exceptional water sense and brute strength, only to be framed with underhanded tactics including drugging and being locked in a room by Tara Cho and Jaden Cho through their capital influence, all of which she manages to fend off. She bravely saves a drowning person and gains the appreciation of Commissioner Wang, and trains under waterfalls to develop her "underwater vacuum domain". In the World Swimming Championships relay final, the Chinese team falls 25 meters behind in the first three legs, Yvonne Lin makes an incredible comeback in the final leg, breaks the world record to win the championship, clears her mother's 20-year-old wrongful conviction, and finally receives an invitation to the Global Deep Sea Extreme Survival Competition.
