The Touch

After losing her husband, painter Joohee lives with her daughter Sujin in a secluded studio, struggling to overcome her grief. One day, while teaching a university group project, she meets Jinyoung, Sujin’s friend. Drawn together by a chance connection—including wearing the same perfume—the two gradually fall in love. Despite knowing their relationship is forbidden, as teacher and student and as a mother and her daughter’s friend, their feelings become impossible to resist. But Sujin’s shock, the revelation that Jinyoung’s father was Joohee’s first love, family opposition, and society’s judgment drive them apart. Choosing separation, they move on with their lives, only to reunite at an art exhibition five years later. Confronted by old wounds and lingering regrets, they must face a love that never truly faded. A poignant melodrama about forbidden love, desire, and emotions that survive the passage of time.
