Alma Linden flees the Linden Family with her daughter, Nina. She moves in with Caleb Locke, a hunter. Caleb fails to return after a trip into Blackwood Forest. Alma ventures into the mountains with Nina to find her husband. The cold-faced hunter gives his tenderness to her, allowing the mother and daughter to finally have a home and live in peace.
