Doris Young is a total pushover with a people-pleasing personality. Despite working tirelessly around the clock, she's constantly bullied by colleagues, exploited by her boss, and even has a project she spent half a year on stolen by a well-connected hire. After five years of secretly dating her boss, Leo Vance, she discovers he's cheating on her with that same hire just as they're about to get their marriage license. Thus, Doris begins her chaotic quest, only to find her efforts backfire, leading to constant promotions, raises, and even a partnership in the company.
