Prometheus, the god, becomes Ignis, a lowly son-in-law of New York’s Burke family, to repay his believer Montgomery. For three years, he silently backs the Burke empire while swallowing all insults from his arrogant wife Camille. On the last day of their agreement, Camille forces him to drink foot-washing water. Ignis leaves instantly.
The Burke Group collapses overnight: partners pull out, stocks plummet. Camille falls for her ex Roland’s Haizhu Bay scam and loses 60 billion. At a grand banquet, Camille sees Ignis worshipped by the mighty Rayner clan and realizes she threw away her divine guardian. Her mother Jessica sacrifices herself to bear her criminal charges. Ignis retrieves all stolen money and captures the swindlers. He feels no love for Camille, only duty to a past promise.
Camille abandons wealth and runs a simple diner with her mother. Years later, Ignis and his apprentice Helena stop by the diner. Just then, urgent news comes — one of his believers lies dying, and a new adventure awaits.
