Seraphina Vale ranks among the youngest Grand Mentors of Aetherion Magic Academy. She once expended her primal magic to repair the arcane cores of seven disciples with flawed gifts, grooming them into continent-famous legendary mages. However, just as she was to succeed as Dean, Lucien sowed discord among the seven. Convinced she had been draining their power via binding contracts, they united to betray her and drove her to the brink of death. In despair, Seraphina self-destructed and perished, only to be reborn decades earlier.
In this lifetime, her arcane core is fully restored. The power she granted the seven traitorous disciples in her past life remains sealed within seven soul marks. Each time their faith crumbles, one mark breaks, returning her primal magic to her. Seraphina will no longer sacrifice herself endlessly. She rejects her former betrayers and takes Cassian, the truly worthy candidate, as her pupil. With the mythic Heart of Eternity, she ascends toward the pinnacle of authority within the academy.
Meanwhile, deprived of Seraphina’s support, the seven traitors fall from grace one by one. They slowly realize their supposed talents and glory were never theirs to begin with. Lucien, who has regained memories of his past life, refuses to admit defeat. He conspires with the Obsidian Empire to trigger a catastrophic crisis for the academy. Confronted by her old betrayers and powerful enemies, Seraphina recovers all her lost power. She defends Aetherion and proves to everyone: without her, they would never have become legendary mages.
