Talented director Maeve Carter spent three years at Century Pictures, only to have her work stolen by her husband David and the 'genius director' Lila, while her rightful earnings were grabbed by the family. After facing betrayal and humiliation, Maeve decisively divorced and moved to rival Starlight Pictures. With her hardcore skills and independent personality, she not only took away the core actress Vivian, but also, in a $100 million project bid, exposed the power-sex deal between Lila and executive Eric through professional means, ruining Century Pictures. With the support of Starlight's president Julian, Maeve regained her deserved honor and pushed Century Pictures to bankruptcy. In the end, David tried to reconcile in his downfall but was completely abandoned by Maeve for being 'worthless.' Maeve not only reached the pinnacle of the industry as the new president but also gained a life partner alongside Julian.
