Dungeon Captive

In a medieval city, gentle Emma takes the blame for her brother's crime and gives birth in a dungeon, only to be told her baby died. The child is rescued by Duke Geoffrey, recognized by the family's thorn-ring birthmark, but screams day and night from a strange "blood empathy" only his true mother can calm. After her release, Emma becomes the boy's only source of peace—and the one woman the duke cannot ignore. As enemies scheme and a jealous noblewoman turns vicious, long-buried secrets explode: the duke was her secret lover years ago, and the child is theirs. In the end, he kneels in a rose garden, asking the dungeon prisoner to become his duchess.
