In 1885 Minnesota, Nora starts with little more than a hot stove, a few simple ingredients, and a talent for making humble food irresistible. Crisp potato cakes rich with pork gravy, tender braised meat, golden fried chicken, fragrant stews, fresh trout, warm breads, sausages, and holiday dishes soon turn a tiny food stall into the talk of the town. As customers line up for the next bite, Nora begins building more than a business—she is building a better life for the Hart family, one delicious dish at a time.
