Ella, the first witch heir of the Thorne family, was cursed by her own mother and cast out as a powerless disgrace. One stormy night, she is hunted by rogue werewolves and forced to form a life-bound blood pact with her sworn enemy, Kane Hale, the Blackpine Wolf King.
Bound by shared pain and survival, the two uncover a shocking truth buried for 300 years: witches and werewolves were never meant to be enemies. Their ancestors were lovers, while vampires secretly manipulated the feud to resurrect Dracula.
When Ella breaks her curse and awakens her full ancient witch bloodline, she and Kane join forces against traitors, Kane’s obsessed resurrected brother Caleb, and the corrupted ancestor Lilith. As the Shadow Council threatens to unleash the Gate of Ten Thousand Souls, countless sacrifices push them to the brink.
In the final battle, Ella and Kane defeat Lilith but shatter the laws of the world. To save humanity, they sacrifice their souls to mend the broken heavens.
Yet their love defies death. Reborn with only one year left to live, they finally end centuries of hatred and, in an elven sanctuary, celebrate a wedding that fulfills their three-hundred-year destiny.
