Orphaned Layla trusts only her brother Marcus and her gentle lawyer husband George. Their peaceful life collapses on a seaside vacation when their meek, trusted nanny Lina—consumed by jealousy—lures Layla’s seven-year-old daughter Lily to the pool and drowns her. Layla witnesses the murder and demands justice, but Marcus and George, deceived by Lina’s fragile act, call it an accident and force Layla to stay silent. Betrayed by the two men she loves, Layla gathers evidence alone. When Lina’s crime is exposed, the men are shattered by regret—but Layla is already gone, turning her back on them forever.
