Amy, the Brooks family's adopted daughter, becomes a stand-in bride for young congressman Edward in place of Angela, the family's biological daughter, and enters a contract marriage. As the two open their hearts to each other, they confront the truth behind the abuse within the Brooks household, an illegal bone-marrow harvesting case, and the death of Edward's younger sister. After overcoming misunderstandings and a kidnapping, they confirm their true feelings, and once the Brooks couple is punished for their crimes, they begin a new life as a real married couple.
