Yvonne Yun, an orphaned daughter of the House of Yun, attempts to assassinate the emperor, and swaps souls with Julian Thorne, the Tyrant Emperor. The two transition from hostility to alliance, seeking vengeance against the House of Yun and humiliating Yolanda Yun. They develop romantic feelings: Yvonne helps Julian become a benevolent ruler; Julian disbands his harem for her. They punish treacherous individuals, bring peace, and compose a tale of deep affection.
