Terminally ill Elaine booked her own funeral. The funeral director who showed up was her ex-boyfriend Elian—the one she had heartlessly abandoned five years ago. They met again, filled with hatred and distance. Elian, believing Elaine had left him for money, coldly refused to serve her.
Elaine hid her illness and her son's true parentage, claiming she was planning a funeral for her grandmother. As they spent time together, Elian noticed something was off. When he met Elaine's son Elliot, he assumed the child was fathered by someone else—deepening his misunderstanding. Her best friend Samuel pretended to be her husband to protect her, making things worse.
As Elaine lay dying, Elian arrived at the last moment, watching her pass away in anguish. At the funeral, Elliot publicly asked Elian if he was his father—setting off a bombshell.
After Elaine died, Elian could see her ghost. At first he thought it was an illusion, but came to accept it. Together, one living and one dead, the truth of the past was finally revealed: Elaine was forced to leave by Elian's mother; she had never betrayed him. Filled with regret, Elian made amends and raised Elliot.
Watching her son gain a father's love and all misunderstandings resolved, Elaine left with peace and contentment, ascending to heaven. Elian, carrying his love and longing for her, raised their son alone—fulfilling her final wish.
